Creative Oundle opens applications for 2027 organ courses
Creative Oundle for Organists has opened applications for its two residential courses in 2027, offering young musicians a route from their first experience of the pipe organ through to advanced study.
Pulling Out the Stops runs from 31 March to 2 April. Designed for beginners through to Grade 5, it also welcomes pianists who would like to try the organ. The three-day course gives participants the chance to learn from experienced organists, play different instruments and spend time with other young musicians.
The Organists Summer School runs from 16 to 22 August and is aimed at players from Grade 6 through to diploma level. Its week-long programme offers intensive tuition in repertoire and keyboard skills, alongside opportunities to play organs in and around Oundle and Cambridge.
Creative Oundle for Organists has trained young players for more than four decades. Its former students have gone on to work in cathedrals, churches, conservatoires and other parts of the music profession, and alumni are sometimes invited back as tutors. Across its courses, the organisation aims to combine ambitious musical development with a welcoming atmosphere and the chance to form lasting friendships.
