Government promises arts funding boost following Arts Council review

The UK government has pledged a £132.5 million funding boost for arts and culture in response to the Arts Council England Independent Review, according to Karen Stretch’s article for Twinkl.
The package includes support through the Every Child Can programme, £22.5 million over three years for opportunities in up to 400 schools, and plans for a new National Centre for Arts and Music Education, due to launch in September.
Arts Council England has welcomed the move, which is intended to widen access to arts education and cultural opportunity.
