ABRSM opens applications for international Play On 2027 fund
The UK music examinations board ABRSM has announced the 2027 round of Play On, its international sponsorship programme supporting music education projects outside the UK.
ABRSM is particularly interested in projects offering high-quality training for music educators, inspiring experiences for learners and strong music education provision. Programmes that address barriers to participation and progression are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants will need to demonstrate how their project can be sustained and continue beyond the initial period of funding.
Previous Play On grants have supported a broad range of music education initiatives internationally. The programme is administered on ABRSM’s behalf by The Commonwealth Resounds, which is providing detailed eligibility criteria and application guidance.
Applications for Play On 2027 can be submitted between 13 July and 15 September 2026.
