About Church of St Mary the Virgin choir, Welling

They sing at the 10am Eucharist every Sunday, with a rehearsal at 9am on the day. They also sing at the major religious festivals during the year such as Easter and Christmas. The musical fayre consists of Mass settings, hymns and an anthem every week. During Advent and Lent this is supplemented with Responsorial Psalms. The choir takes an annual break during the month of August.

The organist and choirmaster, Francis Eastwood, has been in post for just over six years. He has a wealth of experience in church music both in the RC and Anglican traditions, and also conducts the St Cecilia Festival Chorus which is based at Eltham Parish Church (St John the Baptist).

New recruits to the choir are warmly welcomed. The ability to read music is not a pre-requisite. If this may be of interest, please contact Francis.
