About Church of St Mary the Virgin Choir, Welling
Music is part of the weekly life of St Mary the Virgin, Welling. Its four-part choir sings at the 10am Eucharist each Sunday, rehearsing at 9am before the service. The choir also sings for major celebrations, including Christmas and Easter, and takes a break in August.
Repertoire includes Mass settings, hymns and a weekly anthem, with responsorial psalms during Advent and Lent. Francis Eastwood, organist and choirmaster, draws on experience across Anglican and Roman Catholic church music. He also conducts the St Cecilia Festival Chorus at Eltham Parish Church.
