Mountview offers Musical Director Launch Pad with Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation
Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts has announced a new one-year, part-time, paid development opportunity for an aspiring Musical Director through its new Musical Director Launch Pad, created in partnership with the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.
The new scheme is designed to help address the limited entry routes into musical direction, a career path where financial, cultural and geographical barriers can make progression difficult for emerging talent.
The successful participant will join Mountview’s Manchester CertHE Musical Theatre course for two terms before taking part in a five-day residency at the academy’s London campus. They will work under the mentorship of Musical Director Wendy Gadian, gaining shadowing opportunities and practical experience through rehearsal processes and musical theatre teaching.
